Hint of the day:\u00a0 We do not need to go on an expensive vacation to feel like we took time off\u2026 going to a local park or lake counts too!<\/em><\/p>\n I used to think of a vacation as something that required an enormous amount of planning and expenses, but reality is, small daylong excursions can be just as rewarding and maybe even more fulfilling as a long well planned out vacation. Reality is, taking a short drive someone as a day trip can take you into a space of relaxation and give you the satisfaction of really having time off away from work and the daily grind!\u00a0 Day trips can be your family together or try going solo but either way, day trips are a wonderful way to unwind from the stresses of routine existence while \u00a0at the same time feeding the soul with happiness and chill time. An advantage of sharing your day trip with those you care, you get a chance to talk, really talk about nothing important but say favorite songs, childhood memories or simply just spending time enjoying each other!<\/p>\n We all have forests, beaches, lakes, mountains, parks, rivers, hiking trails and deserts near us that can serve as the perfect spot for a day trip.\u00a0 Mine just happens to be Dorena Lake (Pictured above) amongst many many hiking trails here in Oregon!\u00a0 Think about where you live, open google and type in your city you will be surprised to see how many day-trips are possible within an hour’s time from where you live.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s not forget that all the physical and mental rejuvenating possibilities you can experience during a day trip, in an unfamiliar and engaging setting can be tripled by meditation, journaling, deep breathing, or just being with nature.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s another idea take day trips often.\u00a0 Maybe go into nature one trip and then a museum another and yet, on the lake in another.\u00a0 There is no right or wrong, because in the end, where you go is a lot less important than the way you will feel by exploring new places and opening up your world to new experiences.<\/p>\n Just think every time each and every day trip or mini getaway you take will widen your knowledge of you and your existence with nature and can help
