Let us think about this for a minute! I am not telling you to reach for perfection! The pressure of perfection is something to many of us carry on our shoulders! Whether it is about trying to be the perfect employee, boss, parent, child or friend. But let me tell you that there is NO such thing as perfection! Further it is very tiring trying to attain perfection!

In fact, if you expect that you can hit this impossible standard then you are actually harming yourself. Think about that…. If you only focus on the pursuit of the unattainable perfection goal, then you will continuously deplete your energy and create frustration for sure!

So instead of focusing on perfection, how about we all start focusing on doing our best – no more, no less.

I learned this concept, when I read the Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz. In this book, it is shown how to avoid limiting ourselves and to alleviate suffering. The fourth agreement, “Always Do Your Best,” has stuck with me since and now I use it as a mantra, and I live by it for sure!!! The book teaches that to give out all in everything we do, not only will we be productive, but it will also help us to live a more committed, whole, and rewarding life.

Reality is when we do our best, we definitely become more aware of ourselves, and exactly where we stand, which in turn allows us to learn from ouand grow as individuals. Which is EMPOWERING to say the least!

There another great advantage here…. By no longer passing judgements on ourselves we are definitely more open to self-compassion. Also, we also will feel good and proud of ourselves because we decided to show up and give it your all and your best which does not mean anything has to be perfect.

The simple act of giving it your all will EMPOWER you 100%.

Peace and Happiness

Let us think about this for a minute! I am not telling you to reach for perfection! The pressure of perfection is something to many […]

[139,55,100

post-3695","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-blog","category-life-coaching","category-newsletters
