A Tool to be More Productive, Focused and Motivated!<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Journaling is a powerful productivity and motivational tool!<\/p>\n Let\u2019s all stop for a second and think about this!\u00a0 Would you agree that tools, supplies and proven ideas can help us be become more and more productive, focused and motivated? Great the let us take a look at how journaling can fit in!<\/p>\n Journaling is a nourishing and positive self-care practice that is fun, creative and always uniquely your own. With journaling, whatever you write is right!<\/p>\n This is my favorite tool and allows me to organize my thoughts and gain clarity on my priorities.\u00a0 Journaling also helps me to plan action steps in connection with my regular journal writing practice.<\/p>\n Here are 3 Ways that Journaling can Help You Be More Productive, Focused and Motivated<\/p>\n 1) Use Journaling to Process Your Thoughts, Feelings – and Blocks!<\/p>\n Journal writing offers you a place to vent, release stress and process emotions that might cause be causing you upsets in your world.\u00a0 In fact, your journal is a place to explore your thoughts on both our productivity and procrastination.<\/p>\n “The daily journal is like a mirror. When we first look into it, the blank pages stare back with ominous emptiness. But if we keep looking\u2026 gradually we begin to see the face that is looking back at us.”\u00a0Marion Woodman<\/em><\/p>\n Here is a great Journaling Activity:<\/u><\/p>\n Set aside 10 minutes a day to write your thoughts and feelings about productivity and\/or procrastination. Try these journaling prompts to help you get started:<\/p>\n 2) Gain Clarity \u2013 It is important to focus on\u00a0what<\/em>\u00a0you’re doing and\u00a0why<\/em>\u00a0you’re doing it. Please remember some things might also come up that you might like to\u00a0stop<\/em>\u00a0doing.<\/p>\n Here is a great Journaling Activity:<\/u><\/p>\n Make a list of the Top 10 Goals in your Life at this time. Then take a look at each goal and make a list of the action steps you need to take to reach this goal.<\/p>\n Here is an example of what I am talking about for my business productivity over the next 2 weeks\ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n Business Goal: \u00a0Sign up 10 new clients for life coaching<\/p>\n Action Steps:<\/p>\n Personal Goal: Work on becoming a healthier me\ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n Action Steps:<\/p>\n 3) Making Journaling a Habit \u2013 Journaling is a healthy habit and can help create other habits that increase our motivation.<\/p>\n I have been journaling for many years.\u00a0 I have explored my life habits (both positive and negative) and this reflective practice has helped me include more positive habits and success in my life! It has also helped me to break ‘bad’ habits – or those things that do not serve me.<\/p>\n Here is a great Journaling Activity:<\/u><\/p>\n Make a list of the things you do on a regular basis that make a positive difference in your life. Include habits such as journal writing, setting goals, taking daily inspired action towards your goals etc. Take time to write these down, and notice how you feel as you do this.<\/p>\n Also consider, “What is one new habit you might like to start at this time?” for me it was celery juice\u2026 lol<\/p>\n Remember to simply write, reflect and notice\u00a0without<\/em>\u00a0judgement and\u00a0with\u00a0<\/em>compassion for whatever might emerge in your writing, and within yourself.<\/p>\n As a Life Coach, I know that positive habits can make our days and lives better.
