As the calendar turns its final pages, the anticipation of a new year fills our heads and thoughts with a sense of hope, planning, and promising future. During this time when we naturally find ourselves reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future, amidst the hustle and bustle of resolutions and plans, it’s crucial to take a moment to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Slowing Down to Savor Life’s Beauty

Let’s face it, we are living in a fast-paced ever-changing world and boy is it easy to get caught up in the chaos and forget to appreciate the simple pleasures that life offers. As we prepare to welcome the new year, I think it is a good reminder that it is important to make a conscious effort to slow down and savor the beauty that is all around us. Whether it’s a breathtaking sunset because NatureHeals®, the laughter of loved ones, or the crisp winter air (and boy has it been crisp), taking the time to notice and appreciate these moments can bring a profound sense of joy and gratitude. I for one take a few minutes in the am to reflect on what is going on and I try to see the nature around me every single day… even when it rains 2 inches in a day…

Balancing Self-Care and Connection

While setting goals for the upcoming year is important, it’s equally crucial to prioritize self-care. I know that the excitement of planning for the future is here, but we cannot forget to schedule moments of relaxation and self-reflection. Whether it’s a quiet walk-in nature, a soothing hot tub, or a few chapters of a good book or podcast, these moments of self-care can rejuvenate your mind and spirit, providing the energy needed to pursue your aspirations.

Being Present for Your Loved Ones

As we embrace the new year, let’s not overlook the importance of being present for our loved ones, I mean we all need someone on our side right. In the midst of our busy lives, it’s easy to become preoccupied with our own goals and challenges. However, taking the time to connect with family and friends, to share laughter and create lasting memories, is a priceless gift. In the grand scheme of life, these relationships are the threads that weave together our most cherished moments. Remember that contributing to the “Social Pandemic” and not actually connecting with people one on one is not productive, take the time to tell those you know you love them, hug them, and show them you are present in the moment! Maybe even take a meal to someone in need just because!

Setting Intentions for a Meaningful Year

As we embark on this journey into the new year, let’s set intentions that go beyond mere resolutions. Instead of focusing solely on external achievements, consider the intention of mindfulness, gratitude, and kindness. By being present in each moment, appreciating the beauty around us, and fostering connections with our loved ones, we can create a foundation for a year filled with meaning and fulfillment.

There you have it folks. My thoughts for the day. Remember to go outside and share a smile or two, it is worth it I promise!

Peace, Happiness and NatureHeals®

Wendy

As the calendar turns its final pages, the anticipation of a new year fills our heads and thoughts with a sense of hope, planning, and […]

[139,55

post-4775","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-blog","category-life-coaching
