“Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

Pablo Picasso

Hey everybody, so here’s the deal… Creating art whether it be paintings, music, Visual, conceptual, artistic design, drawing, graffiti, graphic, performance, photography, sculpture or video (you get the point), they are all a very effective way to stimulate the brain and anyone can do it.

I hate it when I hear all the misconceptions of Art on this planet…  Some say you must be selling your art or must be born with talent to be considered a “REAL” artists… I call BS (whoops…LOL)

Many people are taught that this is a perfectionist world and so don’t try unless you are perfect.  Again, I call BS.

Listen take it from me we are all born with a “want” to express ourselves and most can do this through “some form” of art.

Much like music, making art in any form can help you express a side of you, you might not do any other time. Like music, where emotions are put into lyrics, you can show emotions in your art. It can help you express yourself and your feelings!

I remember the first time as an adult I sat down to paint something just for the fun of it.  I had no idea what I was doing (I still don’t btw) but I just went with my feelings on a spiritual level!  Was my painting perfect – NOPE – none of them are but you know what, they all come from a place of telling a story and showing a true sense of love, happiness and imagination.

There are many ways to express your creativeness for sure and yes it can help your mood!  But it can also surprisingly help make you happier!  Yup true story!

Art is for everyone!

Art is relaxing and rewarding and can lower your stress levels.

Creating some sort form of art can help distract you from your daily grind. When you get totaling into creating, you can find yourself in the “zone” which can help focus your mind and push aside everything you stress about, for a little while.  Cool right!

Here is a good quote for you –

“Painting embraces all the ten functions of the eye; darkness, light, body and color, shape and location, distance and closeness, motion and rest”

 Leonardo da Vinci

Art forces you to concentrate on details which can help you learn to pay attention more to your environment,… bonus!

Albert Einstein stated that “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” And boy if that is true we should all be doing more!

Buddhists create incredible mandalas in sand and then let them be erased… why, it is like a lesson on life’s changes, as nothing is permanent.

You don’t have to produce fine art to spread love, empathy or happiness all you have to do is express yourself!

So, there you have it folks… I could go on and on about the benefits, but, the most important being – dive into art, any form, allow your creativity to flow and share it.  It will put you in a good mood and if nothing else you will have something to talk about!

“Do something you LOVE, and I promise you will LOVE what you do!”

Peace out!
