OMG Like duh! Adults need a time out to focus just as like kids do sometimes more!
I don’t know about you but sometimes I feel a bit crazy from time to time and just need a break! Stress can and will bring about moments of doubt regarding our sanity and sometimes it just doesn’t matter who is around us we just need a time out! During a timeout, your main goal is simple, though not often easy. Cool off and come back.
Here are a few signs you are ready for a time out:
1) When all you can think about is work without accomplishing anything
2) When your body starts fighting you for no reason
3) When your family asks you to stop putting your keys in the freezer
4) When you have goals and visions, but no plan on how to implement them
5) When you sit for many hours a day without time for exercise
6) When you dread the holidays
7) When you feel unable or even willing to keep your promises
8) When your primary source of joy becomes a drag
9) When you cease practicing what you preach
Let’s think about this. Life is fast and furious, and it is very hard to just stop, however if we as adults don’t take a time out step aside and just think things through things can go array very fast.
Losing a loved one, a job, changing living situations etc. can all make us feel a bit off and they definitely affect our mental state of being. These situations can bring about temporary memory loss, thoughts that things are not really happening or just plain depression. Good thing there is a solution….
Taking a time out is the solution! If you take the time to step back and see what is happening right in front of you, and then take the time to make rash decisions life will be calmer and more productive. Solutions can be put into effect and well, you might even feel a bit lighter😊
Just take a day off from things making you a bit nutty. Allowing yourself to take a step back and thing and reevaluate things is magical not only for solutions but for piece of mind too!!
If you are feeling out of balance that is OK as long as you realize taking a time out to see what is happening by stepping away is also OK
Don’t forget you are worth the sanity and peace that come after you do this for yourself. Balance, Peace, Love and Time outs are the way to go!
