To My First Born My Daughter…
You were “the one” to make me a mother… you were the first born.
You were the product of my longest dream during this life… to be a Mom
The day you were born was… the day I finally felt whole.
You taught me to be patient… late night feedings, my sleepless baby, the one who always kept me on my toes with new mommy firsts and the one who showed me how to love. You taught me to look beyond the obvious and to see the good in all things that happen… daily
You were my favorite because you were new, showed my mom and dad how to be grandparents, and the little one who had enough clothes for a family of 5 newborns (all made for a princess of course). You were the one that showed me how to be a parent, how to hug, how to feel and how to love!
You were the beginning of it ALL!
You were the why I learned to love!
To My Second Born My Son…
You were “the one” to make me a mother…. You were the second born.
You too were the product of my longest dream during this life… to be a Mom
The day you were born was… the day my heart felt full
You taught me things would be ok…. Easy feedings, smiles just because, giggles at all hours of the night, the one who showed me picking flowers in the middle of a t-ball game was ok, and the one who showed me it wasn’t what I saw on the outside that mattered it was what was on the inside that changed worlds.
You were my favorite because you taught me that the world would not stop if you went to bed without a bath or if you went to bed in the clothes, you wore the day before and that the world did not stop if a joke was shared at an unexpected moment, you taught me to laugh with conviction… LOL
You too were the beginning of it ALL!
You were the why I could continue!
To My Third Born, My Baby My Son…
You were “the one” to make me a mother too! You were my baby
You too were the product of my longest dream during this life time… to be a Mom of three
The day you were born was… The day I truly became fulfilled and felt whole
You taught me things, many things… How to fight for my little with everything I had, how to think and act with intention, how to hold three hands at once, and how to smile because you deserved all the love you wanted. You taught me I could fight through pain and win every time and you showed me that while endings are usually sad, I could be full of joy and happiness because you were in my life.
You were my favorite because you taught me to hold on tightly, be more patient and you were the one I relaxed with. The one who showed me all is well in the word because you my baby showed me life is a better place with you all in it. You my baby child taught me to think outside the box… you will always be my baby!
You too were the beginning of it ALL!
You were the why I could feel content!
Now To You All… All Of My Favorite
I have always loved and adored each of you in every way possible from “your” day one
You are each the best child I could ever have asked for
You have always made me proud to be your mother
From the moment each of you came into my life
The love I felt for you could not be resisted or ignored
The feeling I felt as you grew inside of me
The Joy I felt in my heart as I waited for your arrival
To the amazing day each of you appeared in my life on your terms
Waiting until “you” were ready after 24 hours of labor
2 weeks early and still you were ready
On “your day” just as planned
You all changed my life the instant you were put into my arms
The thought of becoming a parent was scary
I hoped that I would do everything “right” …
whatever that means
I gave you all the love my heart had to offer and then some
All with the hopes of giving you everything you would need to become “You”
A Happy, Productive, Content Adult Human doing what you dream for….
Whatever that means to you
I hoped everyday of your life that I influenced you positively
I prayed that the decisions I made where the right ones
But I never knew, I mean really knew what the outcome would be
I continued the best I knew how
I supported you in every way I thought was right
I still to this day do not know what I did right to deserve you all
But I am surely positive I did something right
I mean
Having the three of you to call my children
Has been the most rewarding thing a mother could ask for!
I am so proud of each and every one of you
Of whom you have become and who you still strive to be
You have each grown up to be amazing humans
Respectable in your fields of expertise
A friend to all and a lover to one
You each continue to find your way and grow each and every day
And for that I am even prouder of you than I ever knew possible
Your love for life is something I continue to treasure
Having you each as my child is the biggest pleasure of my life
