So, I was thinking in my sleep last night – yup something I seem to do a lot lately!  The thought that every day is a new opportunity for adventure, and therefore there is NO better way to embrace it than by crafting a morning routine that sets the tone for a day filled with positivity and productivity. Picture this: the sun is creating an amazing show for the world as we awake, birds are singing a tune just because, and you and I, the readers and writer and every other human around, are about to start on a journey of the day that should start with a magical morning to set the tone for the day to come!

The Wake-up call of champions – Don’t hit the snooze button it does not help!!

Forget the snooze button – maybe check out Mel Robbins 5-minute rule as an example. The short of it is she says don’t push the button, count backwards 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and get up!!! I mean the truth of it is it’s time to embrace the wake-up call of champions! Maybe to help a bit when you set your alarm the night before setting it to an amazing tune that gets your heart racing and your feet tapping. Whether it’s the theme from your favorite action movie or an upbeat pop icon, let the music jolt you out of sleep and into the day. This isn’t just waking up; it’s waking up with flair, with a burst of energy that kickstarts your senses and signals your brain that something exciting is about to happen. The possibilities are endless!

Think of the positivity and possibilities!

There was this thing when I was growing up that my family used to say…. You know wendy that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  But I used to think…. Well, we eat the same thing every morning cereal juice and then maybe if I was lucky some toast and an egg made my way (yup I just said that!).  But now that I am 50 (though I have been saying I was 50 for about 7 years), I have come to realize that it is ok that morning times breakfast included can be magical and not a mundane same thing every day!!!

Here’s my current situation. I start to wake up early (much earlier than my amazing side kick, then I move out onto the couch cuddle up under a blanket with a cup of blueberry tea, and I write (my happy place for sure). After I finish a blog or two (lucky you) I channel my inner chef and whip up a breakfast that’s not just nourishing but also a feast for the eyes. Think about the benefits of a great breakfast, nourishing food, and yumminess to boot! Maybe a vibrant Protein smoothie with fruit and chocolate…. avocado toast with a sprinkle of fairy dust (aka chia seeds), an egg burrito (in my case a vegan egg and sausage burrito with spinach, Justegg, Sage sausage and some Pico de Gallo) – YUM! A delicious breakfast isn’t just fuel for your body; it’s a celebration of the day ahead, a moment to savor and enjoy before diving into the world probably filled with some unknowns. But this can put you in charge by creating a known!!

Next, I spend some time in my office painting and practicing (I mean they do say practice makes perfect right? Well wait let me switch that practice makes fun colorful pictures that others love to see and brings many many future smiles!

Dance your way into the day!

Now for some more important stuff, first who the heck made the “rule” that the dance party has to end when the alarm stops ringing? I mean why not throw on your favorite tunes and dance your way through your morning routine. Whether you’re dancing while you brush your teeth or doing some moves as you say good morning to your other half and getting dressed, infusing your morning with a burst of movement and music will not only wake up your body but also elevate your mood. Come on think about this for a minute, when were you even unhappy while listening to your favorite upbeat music, and the best part? There’s no judgment on the dance floor – just you and the rhythm of the day.

Ok then the last thing is….

The power of Intentions

Ok lastly but maybe key, as you step out into the world, take one last moment to set intentions for your day. What do you want to accomplish? How do you want to feel? Definitely visualize your day unfolding with success and joy. I tend to write down all my daily goals and to do’s on my phone in my notes so I can mark them off as I get them done while high fiving myself for  job well done! This morning moment is full of mindfulness, setting positive intentions and aligning your mind and spirit, guiding me towards a day that reflects the energy I’ve cultivated in my morning routine. Your day is a blank canvas, waiting for the strokes of your intentions to paint it with vibrancy and purpose.

Lastly, in the grand symphony of life, your morning routine is the opening note that sets the rhythm for the day.

So why not try embracing the magic, the positivity, and the excitement – after all, every morning is a chance to rewrite the script of your life. So, rise and shine, people, and let the adventures of a new day unfold with the promise of joy and success!
