When anyone takes the time to recognize when they are happy and what that feels like exactly, it becomes much easier to recreate and stay in that place!

 If you are at all on the path of personal or spiritual growth I know from experience you are probably also listing your unhappiness or frustrations in life, just to come up with solutions to make it better, in any way possible!  I’ve been doing this for years, so let’s just own up to that and move on!

Here’s the trick most have been bypassing….. make a list of all your happiness items. You know what they are, a smile from your kid when you give them a treat, the happy butterflies you feel when you get coffee with a smile, a kiss delivered to you in bed, or the fullness you feel when you know you helped someone smile just because.

We all have the ability to rise above our unhappiness and reach for more feelings of joyful happiness, love and peace! If we can recognize when these moments happen, we can then harness the power and our feelings and take time to be grateful for them and to repeat them as often as possible! Do not waste time trying to figure out when the right time is to be happy… It is right now… take a chance because you are worth it!

Seeing and acknowledging is almost always the first step in creating change, so recognizing what it feels like to be happy is definitely, the first step toward sustaining happiness. Note who you feel happy, what your thoughts are during times of happiness, recall what got you to that place and take mental notes!  Remember you took the steps to get there…. No one else can make YOU be happy only you can do that!

EMPOWERING right!!!!  Next time you are feeling a little down… search your memory banks, recall the happy thoughts, what got you there and do them again!!!  HAPPINESS will soon become a HABIT and you will find yourself happy throughout the day without even trying!
